Bedside Cot Reviews
A bedside crib (also called a bassinet) is located close to your bed to allow you to be able to tend to your baby during night feeds and changing nappy without getting out of bed. These cribs are ideal for helping to build independence in your child as they grow more comfortable in their own space to sleep.
The Joie Roomie Glide
The Joie Roomie Glide crib is a crib that can be placed at the bedside, allowing parents to sleep with their baby while ensuring they are sleeping safely. Its smooth glide will help to soothe your baby to sleep, and its innovative features allow you to keep an eye on your baby without leaving the bed.
The sliding side panel of the cot can be raised and lowered with a simple press of a button. This makes it easy to reach inside and soothe a baby in the night. It also comes with 11 height adjustments that let it fit the mattress of almost every size bed. Additionally, it comes with adjustable feet that fold down to ensure it is at the right height.
The cot is padded, features mesh sides for better the airflow, and the mattress is made of high-density, foam for added protection. It's also washable so you can keep it clean. Additionally, it is fitted with a sheet that's suitable for the cot.
Unlike some other bedside cribs like the Roomie Glide is suitable for most beds, including divans due to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a standalone crib when it is not attached to the bed. It has many wonderful features designed with the idea of parent-child bonding in mind.
It is essential to keep in mind that this crib won't last as long once your baby turns six months. You'll need to buy a bigger crib. Overall, Roanna found that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she especially liked its sleek design.
The Roomie Glide is available to purchase at John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna considered to be an affordable price for a cot with these innovative features. She liked how it was positioned in her bedroom, and thought its gray color would be appropriate for most modern homes. She did mention that it's not a good idea to rock a baby younger because it can cause an unfavourable sleep pattern for later.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to give you the best sleep possible. It has a drop-side rail that can be easily lowered for nighttime feeds without having to disturb your baby or get them out of bed It's perfect for breastfeeding mothers! It is also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or when traveling.
We love that it's constructed of soft fabrics with mesh sides that breathe, which aids in airflow and ease of use. It is available in oak or charcoal with a range of melange fabrics that blend with most decor styles. Anna discovered that it was sturdy and secure after being affixed to her bed. The legs snapped into place and the zippers were secure for safety. It took her around 10 minutes to put together and didn't require any tools, with clear instructions and a video or customer support contact number should you encounter any issues.
The CoZee crib comes with all the features you would think of in a crib for your bedside, such as the ability to attach it to your bed using a stay-in-place connection system. It also comes with six height settings. Additionally it has an inclined feature that can be used to help babies suffering from reflux or congestion. It is also machine-washable and is a must for all the spills and vomit that come with a newborn baby!
The CoZee is a great option if you want to keep your child close during the first six months of acquiring the ability to sleep independently. It can be used as a cot, changing station and toddler bed. It can also be transformed into a sofa bed with the addition of an extension pack. While it isn't able to feed your baby, or magically put them to sleep it will gently rock them to send them off!
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of the more expensive options, however it is packed with lots of features. It's designed as a side sleeper or standalone crib and is suitable for babies up to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel thanks to the new mechanism. It's also more adjustable than the previous model, with 11 different height settings and retractable legs for a secure installation underneath any bed.
large bedside crib loved the ease of access the side panel provides, which can be flipped up and down by pressing a button. This was particularly useful at night, as they could reach in and pick their baby up without waking them up.
It is possible to lower the side panel by it's own, however this is not recommended as it increases the risk that your baby will fall out of the cot. However, the safety locking mechanism ensures that it will only stay down when attached to the parent's bed correctly. This feature can be very beneficial to have peace of mind when you breastfeed and require frequent nighttime feeds.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed that includes divan bases as well as beds with drawers due to the legs that can be telescopic. It has a tilting feature for reflux babies, and an option to rock to soothe them to sleep after a meal. It's also incredibly spacious and offers great ventilation due to its mesh sides.
Our testers found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it does have quite an extensive instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers but it's still quite portable and can be moved from room to room easily. It's also foldable into a travel bag which is ideal for those who want to transport it. The only drawback our test subjects found was that the side panel didn't flex as much as some of the other models, which made it difficult to observe your child from your bed.
The Shnuggle Air
The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great option for a crib that grows with your child. Designed to be a co-sleeping bassinet that can be attached securely to your bed and convert into a stylish cot once your baby is ready, it's ideal for feeding your baby at night and fostering a bond with your baby.
The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, which is different from other cribs. The mesh side panels with dual-view as well as the hypoallergenic, breathable airflow mattress allow for maximum airflow, keeping your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline option helps to ease colic and reflux, while the zip down side makes it easy to feed or comfort your baby throughout the night.
The kit for conversion to cot is also well-designed, with clear instructions. It comes with everything you need. It took us about an hour to assemble, and was fairly simple to put together. The only drawback to the instructions was that a few images were not captioned. This made it difficult for us to follow the instructions. Overall, the procedure was easy and the materials used were of high quality.
In co-sleeping mode we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an ideal choice for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section as it allows them to comfortably reach out to their baby to feed and comfort them without having to leave their bed. It's also great for parents who want to avoid the difficulty of getting into and out of a traditional cot or putting their baby down to sleep.
During our tests, we found the gliding motion of the next-to-me crib to be especially useful in lulling babies back to sleep after feedings at midday and in the evening. The drop-down side can be easily accessible to feed or soothe babies during the middle of the night, which was a real selling point for our exhausted test mothers. Although it doesn't rock or have extra features such as a sound system, the Joie Roomie Glide's sleek design and functionality are a welcome addition to our best bedside crib reviews.
